Polaris
The Polaris bagfiller machine is a modular system engineered to collate AFH rolls into preselected format packs, insert into bags, seal open end of the bags and remove the trim.
One of the main features of Polaris is the dual bag feeding principle in one:
- Single bag produced “just in time” by a bag making unit and loaded automatically on the feeding conveyor by a Pick & Place device;
- Pre-formed bags grouped together in stacks and loaded manually by the operator onto the pins of the wicket conveyor.
Advantages:
- Space saving & cost investment, thanks to the two-packaging leg in one: only one machine and only one conveyor leg for both bag and shrink bundle packaging;
- Product cost reduction: tube reels need less floor space than pre-made bags;
- Stock and logistic simplification: tube reels need less floor space than pre-made bag stacks and can be stacked in layers;
- Higher converting efficiency: bags can be produced/finalized “just in time”, all the issues related to stick-slip and static accumulation during storage are fully avoided;
- Continuous converting loop: with a single bag feeding principle there is no need for operators to load bag stacks on bagfiller machines;
- Higher flexibility: starting from a flat tube (without side gussets) or flat poly reels it is possible to adjust the bag dimensions at any time.
