Alpine accumulation conveyor

To meet the need for product accumulation between the upstream and downstream machines, Pulsar Engineering has designed and manufactured various alpine conveyors.

The presence of an accumulation buffer in the line helps reduce stoppages of the upstream machine in the event of a downstream machine stop (e.g., for quick maintenance, reel change, etc.) or to allow the transported product to cool down.

There are primarily two types of accumulation buffers: single ascent (or single descent) and ascent-descent.

Single ascent (or single descent) accumulation buffers: This solution is used when, due to floor space constraints, a section of the line needs to be elevated without compromising accumulation time or when the product’s height prevents the implementation of an ascent-descent buffer within a reasonable footprint.

Ascent-descent accumulation buffers: This solution is ideal when the product does not have a particularly significant height or when it is necessary to avoid the double footprint caused by having separate ascent and descent buffers.
